Australian House prices Aug25 up 0.7% - the largest single monthly lift since May24

Economists were forecasting a bounce in new dwelling approvals and starts. This has started to come through prior to the rate cuts and government reforms impact. Supply side looking to meet demand - it does get economists excited.

Commentary has been that supply side needed to improve as demand is strong. State governments have recognised their planning systems can be improved and have been implementing reforms.

House prices showing moderate growth, with Brisbane still leading the growth in the 5 main capitals.
