Re-purchasers still dominate the lending market, but they've been falling away over the past few years.

Victorian stats on who is buying.

Re-purchasers still dominate the lending market, but they've been falling away over the past few years. FHBs have been holding well and above the national average as Melbourne and Victoria became quite affordable relative to most other capitals and states. FHBs are filling the void mostly left by re-purchasers, only trending down slightly this year. Investors seem poised for a stronger uptick, and this is typically at the expense of the FHBs.
